NETGEAR Genie

NETGEAR, the internationally renowned manufacturer or networking equipment, presents NETGEAR Genie as a software application that you can use to control your home network, a software application that makes it easy and fun to get the most out of your home network. The simple truth of the matter is that NETGEAR Genie does a lot. I’m going to try and cover all the main features and functions.

Here goes: view your internet connection’s status; get notified when there are network connectivity changes (which in layman’s terms means you’ll be notified when your internet goes down); test your download and upload speed; view your WiFi connection’s status; connect to your router and access your router’s settings; map all the devices on your network; set up parental controls; share files and stream media with ReadySHARE; print with AirPrint; built-in Ping, Trace Route, and DNS Lookup tools.

NETGEAR Genie can be used on a desktop computer like a PC or a Mac and it can also be used on a mobile device like a smartphone or a tablet. The point I am trying to make here is that NETGEAR Genie is available for multiple platforms: Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X and iOS, Google Android.
